The correct posture during sitting
Office workers uses computer for long period of time. It is not uncommon for them to have neck and back pain. A poor sitting posture may account to it and maintaining a correct sitting posture is of vital important for its prevention.
The correct sitting posture is as follows
- The centre of the monitor should be at a level of 15 degree down from your eye level
- The upper 1/3 of the monitor should be at your eye level
- Elbow should rest comfortably on the hand rest
- Elbow should be at around 80-100 degree bending
- The monitor should be around 20-26 inch away
- There should be distance for around one fist between the back of your leg and the edge of chair
- Have a back support that support the spine
- Feet can rest steadily on ground
- Comfortable height of the chair
- Back rest that supports the normal spine curvature if needed
- Prevent long time of sitting
- Stretching ex perform regularly
